First Gold is a dual purpose hop suitable for use at the beginning or end of your boil. It has a very attractive aroma which some liken to Goldings, but with a higher Alpha content than traditional aroma hops. Good aroma and bittering qualities, combined with a zesty citrus quality, produce a well-balanced bitterness. An orangey quality has been observed in many beers brewed using First Gold.
